This past weekend I was able to try some macro photography. I shot most of these on the BYU-Idaho campus and the BYU-Idaho gardens. I used macro extension tubes – the 21mm and 31mm. They helped to make my 18-135mm lens a macro lens. It’s quite a different world, macro photography. You really see everything in such a different way. It’s really neat to be able to see the details that you don’t naturally see with your eye. I also used speedlights and continuous lights for my lighting. My aperture was usually between f/5.6 and f/16.
